My go-to weekday breakfast is oatmeal with berries and nuts. I make a few servings at a time and love mason jars as an on the go breakfast. Instant oatmeal has a ton of sugar in it, so with a little bit of planning ahead, this breakfast is much healthier.
Ingredients:
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 1/4 cups almond milk
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 banana, mashed
1/4 cup blueberries
1/8 cup pecans
Preparation:
1. Mash banana. Mix with chia seeds, almond milk, and oats.
2. Split into 2 mason jars and refrigerate overnight.
3. Stir and microwave for a minute.
4. Top with berries and nuts.
