For 4th of July weekend, grilling meals to feed several people is an easy, low-cleanup solution. My sister suggested a new burger outside of Montamore Burgers and Goat Cheese Guacamole Burgers. I decided to go with a turkey burger and a sweet topping. We made fries to go with the burgers.
Ingredients:
24 ounces ground turkey
6 buns
brie, cut into 2 inch by 1/4 inch slices
1/4 cup raspberry jam
2 Granny Smith apples, cut into large slices
Preparation:
1. Form ground turkey into 6 patties. Season with garlic, pepper, and season salt.
2. Heat grill to medium. Grill burgers for 10-12 minutes, flipping once.
3. Top burgers with brie after 8-9 minutes.
4. Place apple slices on the grill. Flip after a minute.
5. Remove burgers and apples from grill. Assemble burgers with bun-burger-cheese-jam-apple-bun.
