Butcher and Bee is a favorite restaurant of ours here in Nashville. One of their most popular appetizers is a whipped honey plate with honey. My husband is not a huge feta lover, however he absolutely loved this appetizer and insisted I make a version of it at home. This is now part of our regular rotation!
Ingredients:
8 oz feta (start with block feta for this dip)
1 lemon, zested and juiced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup honey
freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Naan/pita bread/chips for serving
Preparation:
1. Combine feta, greek yogurt, lemon zest and juice, olive oil, and cayenne pepper in a food processor. Whip the mixture until smooth and fluffy.
2. Spread feta mixture on a plate. Create a small divet in the middle. Add honey, including a drizzle around the rest of the plate. Season with fresh cracked back pepper. Serve with warm toasted naan!
