Hi! I'm Kelsey, and I have a passion for cooking, baking and of course eating amazing food. I have always enjoyed cooking, but I really started building up a collection of recipes and developing my own recipes in college. Eating out gets expensive quickly. With a little practice, I learned how to cook some delicious meals at home for a fraction of the price of going out to eat. I had some disasters along the way (namely jello, which I'm still teased about to this day, and it was 10 years ago). Now, most of my favorite meals are home-cooked! I love to eat great food, so I try to make healthy food taste as good as it possibly can. I spend a lot of my free time working on recipes, cooking for friends, and trying new restaurants, but I also enjoy traveling, running, skiing, and spending time with friends. I just finished my MBA and currently live in Chicago and work as a health and benefits consultant.

I have an adorable kitty, Leo. Within a few weeks of adopting Leo from the shelter, he jumped up on the kitchen counter, picked up a bag of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies in his mouth and ran across my apartment with the cookies! He sure has quite the personality. Leo is best friends with Taz, my parent's dog. Leo and Taz are both insanely fluffy, very social, and share an obsession with string cheese. My husband Tony and I got a COVID Aussie puppy of our own, Zoe. Zoe and Leo are best buds. Zoe is a big fan of peanut butter, Leo's cat meat, shredding toys, and naps. The pets all make occasional appearances in photo foods on the site.

My sister Sam had just gone off to college in 2013 when she asked me to send her some of my recipes, which ended up becoming this website! Baking is a science, whereas cooking is an art. Sam started with cooking herself a few dinners a week and has worked her way up from buttered noodles to actual meals! She's made a ton of progress in the few years! Most of the pictures are ones I've taken as I make dishes, but my family and friends have been trying out some recipes and sending me pictures along the way!
