This is such a wonderful fall dessert. Growing up, my parents took my sister and I apple picking every year. We'd get tons of apples and have apple crisps, cinnamon apples, apple pie, cinnamon apple pancakes...the list goes on. This is my neighbor's basic apple crisp recipe. It doesn't get much better than this!
Ingredients:
5-6 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup flour
1 stick butter, softened
Preparation:
1. Place sliced apples in an 8x8 pan.
2. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, flour and butter. This is easy to do with a fork or with your fingers.
3. Crumble topping over apples.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
