Cheese is a big deal in my family. My dad works for a cheese company; I grew up in Wisconsin; cheese curds are amazing. A good cheese plate is really a great appetizer or dessert. Every time we go out to dinner, if there is a cheese plate on the menu, you bet we are getting it. This is a compilation of my favorite cheeses. Let all cheese come to room temperature prior to serving.
Ingredients:
La Clare Farm Cheve
Sartori SarVecchio Parmesan
Carr Valley Cranberry Chipotle Cheddar
Holland Family Farm Gouda
Baguette, thinly sliced
Rice crackers
1/2 cup walnuts
2 tablespoons raspberry jam (Bonne Maman is by favorite)
Preparation:
1. Let all cheeses come to room temperature. Arrange on a wooden cutting board.
2. Add walnuts and jam to cutting board.
3. Serve with crackers and baguette slices.
