This recipe came up when I was in college and really missing the s'mores from summers at the lake. This is a really easy way get the same flavors at home. My friends loved these bars and many of them asked for the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 pouch (1 pound, 1.5 oz) sugar cookie mix
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup butter, melted
3 cups milk chocolate chips
4 1/2 cups marshmallows
Preparation:
1. Mix together sugar cookie mix and graham cracker crumbs. Stir in melted butter. Press into ungreased 13x9 pan.
2. Bake dough at 375 degrees for 18-20 minutes, until set. While hot, sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Let chocolate chips melt for 3-5 minutes. Spread chocolate evenly over crust.
3. Set oven to broil. Sprinkle marshmallows over melted chocolate. Broil for 30 seconds, until marshmallows are toasted. Watch very closely so marshmallows don't burn.
4. Cool for 10-15 minutes. Serve warm.
5. Store remaining bars covered. Microwave to heat up.
